DevOps Intern
Apply nowNeedl.ai turns messy real-world data — public web pages, private documents, filings, feeds — into structured, searchable, AI-ready knowledge. You'll work alongside our platform team on the infrastructure that runs Needl.ai — the Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD that ship dozens of services to Kubernetes across cloud environments.
What you'll do
- Contribute to our Terraform modules — IAM, networking, managed services, cloud resources.
- Add and modify services in our Helm charts (values, configmaps, secrets, scaling, ingresses, resources).
- Improve CI/CD pipelines: build, test, and deploy workflows in GitHub Actions.
- Work on security and edge protection — WAF rules, network policies, secrets handling, least-privilege access.
- Participate in cross-functional projects with product, engineering, and customer success teams.
Qualifications
- Education: recent graduate (B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent, CSE/EE/related) from a strong institution, or 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
Required (must have)
- Comfortable in Linux/CLI and Git.
- Good understanding of operating systems concepts (processes, memory, filesystems, permissions).
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, firewalls).
- Basic understanding of containers (Docker) — build an image, run it, read a Dockerfile.
- One scripting language — Bash and/or Python.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with coding assistants like Claude Code and Copilot.
- Kubernetes basics (pods, deployments, services) and Helm.
- Exposure to AWS (EKS, ECR, IAM) or Azure (AKS).
What you'll learn
- How production infrastructure is defined and versioned with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Running real services on Kubernetes across multiple cloud environments, and managing them with Helm.
- Building and hardening CI/CD pipelines — build, test, deploy, rollback.
- Multi-cloud fundamentals across AWS and Azure — compute, networking, IAM, managed databases.
