Most of the work behind a financial decision is reading.
Filings, transcripts, research and data rooms arrive faster than any team can absorb them, and the detail that changes a view is often buried in the volume. Our founders met that problem from two sides. Kuntal Shah has spent nearly three decades as a value investor and faced it first-hand. Vikram Srinivasan, a computer scientist, co-founded the search company Zettata, which Target acquired, and then led data engineering and discovery at Target. They started Needl.ai in 2019.
Today Needl.ai runs in a firm's own cloud account, in a dedicated instance or in the Needl.ai cloud, follows the permissions the firm already sets, and never trains on its data.
